While Axar Patel is the immediate option to be India’s left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder, Team India also has to keep an eye on the future. Axar is also in the fray for the other two formats and hence, there would be a backup needed. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three talented players who can replace Ravindra Jadeja in T20Is going forward.

1) Shahbaz Ahmed

Shahbaz Ahmed has already made his debut for Team India. In patches, he was decent for SRH in IPL 2024. He has also been doing well at the domestic level and hence, he makes a case here.

That said, there are areas of his game that need improvement. He needs to develop more variations with the ball and with the bat, he must be able to play spin better.

2) R Sai Kishore

R Sai Kishore is one of the talented players who can replace Ravindra Jadeja in T20Is in the future. As a bowler, R Sai Kishore seems ready to be in the Indian Team. He has also made his India debut already.

However, with the bat, he has scope for improvement. Sai can definitely bat but he seems more of a No.8 than a No.7 or a No.6. For India, as a Jadeja replacement, the squad needs someone who can be good with the bat technically. Sai must work on this to get closer to the Indian Team.

3) Krunal Pandya

Krunal Pandya can be a choice if the backup for Axar is the point of discussion. With the bat and the ball, he is able to contribute well for the team.

With the ball, he can do a job in the middle overs. However, with the bat, he must work on his power-hitting. If he can also work on his range, he would be a solid choice to be a part of the squad.
