Zaheer Khan is arguably the best left-arm pacer produced by India. He is also known to be a good mentor and is surely a role model for youngsters. India has not got a good left-arm pacer after Zaheer’s retirement. A few left-arm pacers have also lost their way. They could improve if they get a chance to be at LSG under Zaheer. Here, we take a look at the list of three left-arm pacers who could get a new lease of life under Zaheer Khan at LSG.
1) Chetan Sakariya
Chetan started his IPL career well with Rajasthan Royals. He even got a chance to play for Team India. However, it has gone downhill since then.
Injuries and bad form have hampered his career. Last season, he did not play a single game. With the potential he has, he can do well under a good coach like Zaheer Khan.
2) Mukesh Choudhary
Mukesh Choudhary is one of the left-arm pacers who could get a new lease of life under Zaheer Khan at LSG. He had one season that did not count because of an injury. When he came back last season, he looked to be a different bowler.
Mukesh definitely has the base to become a good new-ball bowler in the T20 format. He might do well with some proper guidance. LSG already has Mohsin Khan for this role but Zaheer could groom another good left-arm pacer in Mukesh.
3) Arzan Nagwaswalla
Not long ago, Arzan was in the picture to be a part of the Indian Test Team. He was even selected for the squad. However, cut to a few years later, he is not even a part of the Duleep Trophy.
A player with high potential, his IPL career also did not take off. He was a part of the Mumbai Indians camp as a net bowler a few seasons ago. Under Zaheer, if he gets an opportunity, he could improve and become better.
