If a player has been a part of the IPL for more than 50 matches, he surely must have done something right. At the same time, there are cases wherein a franchise trusts the skills of a player too much. There are also examples wherein a player can be a team player and always contribute to the success of the squad. On that note, here, we take a look at three Indian all-rounders who have played more than 50 IPL games but are yet to win the Man of the Match award.

1) Abhishek Nayar

A medium-pace bowling all-rounder in India is a rare commodity. When IPL started, one of the intentions was to unearth a solid option in this regard. Mumbai’s Abhishek Nayar did well and before long, he was even selected to the Indian Team.

However, after the initial promise, Nayar could not do justice to his talent. Later on, he represented teams such as Punjab Kings but his performance in his first few years did not repeat.

2) Stuart Binny

Stuart Binny is one of the Indian all-rounders who have played more than 50 IPL games but are yet to win the Man of the Match award. After the Indian Cricket League players were allowed in IPL, Stuart Binny was one of the first names to be picked.

It was at Rajasthan Royals that Binny earned a good name. Later, he played for RCB and also returned back to RR. However, throughout his stint, he was always a good team player but could never provide one defining performance.

3) Vijay Shankar*

Vijay Shankar still has a chance to become a Man of the Match in the Indian Premier League. However, the time is running out of the Tamil Nadu cricketer.
