Many players leave RCB and start to do well. That happens with all teams. That is how IPL is set up. RCB could hire a few players who represented them in the past. Here, we take a look at the list of three former cricketers RCB could realistically target in IPL 2025 Auctions.

Note: We have considered players who are likely to be released by their current outfits.

1) Yuzvendra Chahal

It was a bit surprising when RCB released Yuzvendra Chahal. At Rajasthan Royals, Chahal has been really good and has always picked wickets in crucial situations.

That said, RR might still release him because of other retentions. If that happens, RCB can consider bringing back Chahal to Chinnaswamy. They need an experienced spinner and there is no better option than someone who has done well at their home venue.

2) Quinton de Kock

Quinton de Kock was at RCB for a brief period before he was traded to Mumbai Indians. The South African wicket-keeper batter could be a decent choice to replace Faf du Plessis as Virat Kohli’s opening partner.

QDK is a left-hander and there is variety there. He is usually aggressive and that helps Virat, as well. He is not that old and most importantly, he is a genuine wicket-keeper. This solves most issues for the franchise. Hence, he is on this list.

3) Tim David

RCB has lacked a finisher with brute power in recent years. It has been DK’s range-hitting that was helping them finish games. With him having retired, the franchise has to search for a replacement.

If you take a look at Andy Flower’s squads in various T20 leagues, Tim David is usually there. It seems that the coach trusts the Aussie. With Tim David likely to be released by Mumbai Indians, RCB could target the player, who once played for them.
