As per reports, Mayank Yadav has recovered from an injury that he sustained in IPL 2024. He was one of the top performers in IPL 2024. With the kind of pace he has, it is a matter of time before he makes a splash at the highest level.
Of course, it will start with the T20 format and Gambhir could even groom him for the 2026 T20 World Cup. India would also need such pacers in Tests but it is hard considering the fitness issues that come with these cricketers.
2) Harshit Rana
Harshit Rana is one of the Delhi cricketers who could make their India debut under Gautam Gambhir as Head Coach. After his brilliant run in IPL 2024, Harshit Rana is sure to be a part of the Indian Team. He already was a part of the T20I side that toured Zimbabwe.
Nevertheless, he could make his debut with Gautam Gambhir as Head Coach. It needs to be noted that Gambhir was KKR’s mentor for IPL 2024, in which Harshit did well.
