Mayank Yadav has been one of the finds of the ongoing IPL 2024 season. Already, he has broken the record for the fastest ball bowled in the history of IPL. He is doing that consistently and Mayank has also displayed control with his lines and lengths. Scouting is a key success factor for each franchise. Lucknow Super Giants got Mayank at his base price in the IPL 2024 Auctions. Interestingly, as per reports, a few other teams had also identified his talent and had him arrive for some trials. However, in the end, they chose not to invest in him. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two teams that reportedly scouted Mayank Yadav but did not sign him.

1) Chennai Super Kings

CSK, in the recent years, have done well when it comes to scouting young talents. While they got their current skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad in this manner, the signings of Matheesha Pathirana and Sameer Rizvi show that CSK are on the right track.

There is no domestic pacer on this side who can bowl high-end pace. Hence, it was not a surprise that CSK were interested in Mayank Yadav. However, having retained someone like Simarjeet Singh, who also bowls decent pace, the defending champions did not sign Mayank at the auctions.

2) Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals is one of the teams that reportedly scouted Mayank Yadav but did not sign him. A local boy, Mayank Yadav also found interest from his home franchise. However, the Delhi Capitals did not sign the talented cricketer.

Had he been in the squad, DC would have been in a better shape now. They are in desperate need for some fast bowling resources because the likes of Anrich Nortje are struggling. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what happens to Mayank next season. He could be retained or he might come into the auctions.
