SA20 recently completed the second edition. Sunrisers Eastern Cape won the tournament for the second straight time. However, there were a few teams that were not able to do well. The management of these outfits could take a bold decision before the next edition. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two SA20 captains who could be sacked before the next season.

1) Kieron Pollard – MI Cape Town

MI Cape Town had formed a very strong team for the first edition. The team retained the core for the second season, as well. However, in both seasons, the team was not able to deliver. It could be said that captaincy was a problem in both seasons.

In the first edition, Rashid Khan was not up to the mark. Since he was unavailable, Kieron Pollard was made the skipper for the second season. While Pollard made some mistakes as a skipper, he also could not contribute well with the bat and the ball. In the first place, with players such as Kagiso Rabada and Rassie van der Dussen already in the squad, it was not sure why MICT went for an overseas captain. Nevertheless, they could still make amends by giving captaincy to one of the local stars. That would also help the balance of the side.

2) Eathan Bosch – Pretoria Capitals

Eathan Bosch is one of the SA20 captains who could be sacked before the next season. It was a surprise that the youngster was given the chance to captain the squad for the recently concluded edition. Yes, he has some captaincy experience domestically but to give a young pacer to lead a franchise was a brave call.

It was a difficult season for Pretoria Capitals. They did well in the first edition but just could not hit the mark in the second edition. The management might consider changing the captain. They could go for someone more experienced and established.
