England will take on India in a five-match Test series soon. While it is a challenge for England, India will also be wary of the danger England can be. India is a squad that needs some good victories to improve the morale of the fans. Hence, they would be desperate to win the series. On that note, here, we take a look at two Indians who played when England last toured India but are nowhere near the squad now.
1) Ishant Sharma
Ishant Sharma is one of the players on this list. While India is struggling to move on from certain players, they were a bit ruthless when it came to Ishant Sharma. Although his experience helped India in many games, when he had a long rough run, he was put out of the team. India is still not able to get a player of his calibre in Tests.
Nevertheless, Ishant is still plying his trade at the domestic level. He is a talented cricketer and it would not be a surprise if he makes a comeback soon. At least, for the upcoming England series, though, he is not in the scheme of things.
2) Shahbaz Nadeem
Shahbaz Nadeem is one of the Indians who played when England last toured India but is nowhere near the squad now. India had to use the services of Nadeem in the previous England tour of India. However, the Jharkhand man could not deliver his best.
India replaced him with Axar Patel in the next games and from then on, no other player has come to displace the Indian spin trio. Shahbaz is a prolific performer at the Ranji level and he would be keen to do well so that he has a chance of making a comeback. However, it needs to be noted that age is also catching up for the player.
