Sunrisers Hyderabad had a pretty good outing at the IPL 2024 Auctions. When it comes to overseas signings, SRH did the best on that day. Especially signing Wanindu Hasaranga at his base price was a brilliant move. This signing will now help SRH to have a solid spin attack at venues such as Chennai and Kolkata. SRH signed some of the ex-Mumbai Indians players in the auctions. Here, we take a look at the list of two former Mumbai Indians players whom SRH signed in IPL 2024 Auctions.
1) Jaydev Unadkat
Jaydev Unadkat has not been having a great campaign in the recent IPL seasons. A few seasons ago, he represented Mumbai Indians. However, he did not do well for them, as well. Later, he represented Lucknow Super Giants and he would now play for SRH.
In Jaydev, SRH has got an experienced left-arm pacer. In all likelihood, he is the new-ball partner for Bhuvneshwar Kumar. With Marco Jansen unlikely to play because of the team combination, Jaydev will have the task to take some early wickets.
2) Pat Cummins
Pat Cummins is one of the former Mumbai Indians players whom SRH signed in IPL 2024 Auctions. At the IPL 2018 Mega-Auction, Mumbai Indians signed Pat Cummins. However, the Australian pacer had an injury and he was ruled out of the campaign. Later, Pat played for KKR and also missed a few seasons.
Now, he might, as well, be the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad. SRH went beyond INR 20 Cr for signing the Australian captain. With two bouncers allowed in an over from IPL 2024, the presence of Cummins in the middle-overs will be great for SRH. Also, he offers a lot of value with the bat while also lending a captaincy option. It will be interesting to see how the Australian pacer will do in IPL 2024 in Hyderabad.
