Chennai Super Kings is one of the most popular brands in the game right now. Especially for the consistency that the franchise produces, both the players and the coaches of the team are always in demand. They tend to get a lot of gigs outside the IPL. Similarly, a few of them are engaged in the ongoing Hundred 2023. Here, we take a look at two current CSK Coaches who are Head Coaches in Hundred 2023.
1) Stephen Fleming (CSK Head Coach) – Southern Brave
In the IPL, all teams have changed their Head Coaches but CSK is the only franchise to have just one change of the Head Coach. Since 2009, Fleming has been at the helm of the franchise. Since then, he has delivered multiple playoff qualifications and five trophies to go with it. Even for sister teams such as JSK and TSK, Stephen Fleming is the Head Coach. He has been doing well there, as well.
Fleming has recently got a chance in the Hundred. He is an individual with exemplary tactics and man-management skills. Southern Brave will look to do well under his guidance.
2) Michael Hussey (CSK Batting Coach) – Welsh Fire
Michael Hussey is one of the current CSK Coaches who are Head Coaches in Hundred 2023. Ever since his retirement, Hussey has also been involved with CSK. He has acted as a Mentor while he has most recently been the Batting Coach of the outfit. In IPL 2023, he was in good touch as he helped some of his lesser-established batters like Shivam Dube excel at the highest stage.
Hussey is someone who has a lot of experience in the T20 format. He has played in various leagues and does have the requirements needed for a Head Coach. If CSK wants to change things in the future, Hussey will surely be one of the options to get a promotion.
