It was a disappointing defeat for India in the second T20I against South Africa. The batters failed to step up and the bowlers could not close the game. Now, the management could bring in a few changes for the next match. Of course, there will be the idea of giving a long rope but since it is a tough opposition, India would also want to test a lot of their talented cricketers against them. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two changes India could do for the third T20I against South Africa.
1) Vijaykumar Vyshak for Avesh Khan
In the first place, it was surprising to see Vyshak get a place in the Indian Team. In the IPL, while he has done well, the consistency was never there to get a spot in the Indian Team. However, the selectors have seen something in him and it is pretty sure that he will add great value to the side.
Yash Dayal could have been an option but then India will be left with no right-handed frontline pacer. Hence, Vyshak could get a spot in the side. He has a lot of variations and he could do well in India. Hence, the match against South Africa could be a good audition for the Karnataka cricketer.
2) Jitesh Sharma for Abhishek Sharma
Jitesh Sharma for Abhishek Sharma is one of the changes India could do for the third T20I against South Africa. India does not have a backup opener for this series. Hence, it is very unlikely that Abhishek Sharma will get dropped in this series. That said, with the form that he is in, Abhishek deserves a warning.
If he is indeed getting dropped, Jitesh Sharma will have to come into the playing XI. Someone like Suryakumar Yadav or Tilak Varma will have to go up the order to open the batting along with Sanju Samson. Hence, this change is on the cards.
