Pakistan national cricket team suffered the wrath of the bad pitch during the first Test match against the England cricket team. The Three Lions absolutely smashed the Pakistani bowlers with ease.
Precisely, they simply toyed with the bowlers by scoring runs at the rate of knots. Earlier, PCB came under fire for not preparing a proper Test match pitch and England batters made use of the conditions to better effect.
No matter how hard the bowlers tried, they failed to keep the England batsmen in check. In the process, the damage was done by the batsmen in the first place.
On the first day of the Rawalpindi Test match, England became the first team to post a huge total of 506/4 in 75 overs, close to seven runs an over. Pakistani bowlers came under fire for their terrible bowling performance.
Harry Brook scored 27 runs in an over off Zahid Mahmood
The likes of Zahid Mahmood, Mohammad Ali and Naseem Shah had a bad day at the office as they conceded too many runs and made things much worse for the team.
Zahid Mahmood conceded 235 runs whereas the likes of Mohammad Ali and Naseem Shah conceded 124 and 140 runs respectively. During the game, Harry Brook had a spectacular day at the office as he top-scored for the visitors with 153 runs.
He scored runs at the rate of knots as he took 116 balls to score 153. Harry Brook constructed his innings with the help of 19 boundaries and 5 sixes to his name. On Day 1, he scripted history by smashing 6 fours in an over off Saud Shakeel’s bowling.
On Day 2, Harry Brook went on to break his own record by smashing as many as 27 runs in an over off Zahid Mahood. Brook scored 6,4,4,4,6,3 in the over and helped the team tick the scoreboard. England cricket team were bowled out for a massive total of 657 runs.
