Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are one of the few teams that are yet to gun for the IPL title since the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League.
In fact, they are the only team that made it to the finals thrice and failed to win the title. Many captains have changed at the franchise but still they are finding a way to crack the toughest code.
As far as the IPL 2023 is concerned, they have performed pretty well in fragments but at the same time, made some costly mistakes which cost them some games.
Faf du Plessis and Co should be sorting out the errors before it’s too late. In fact, they were performing quite well in the last three editions of the Indian Premier League. Notably, they were the only team that qualified for the playoffs in the last three seasons, which goes to show their consistency levels.
1 Bold decision that RCB should take against Mumbai Indians in the next game
Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently fifth on the points table with five wins and five defeats. They will lock horns with Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians in the next game at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
It will certainly not be an easy fixture for RCB as they will have to work their socks off in order to get a desirable result against the five-time IPL champions. Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore lost their previous game.
While Mumbai Indians lost to Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore lost to Delhi Capitals. RCB team management needs to take a bold call such that things go right for them while playing against Mumbai Indians in the next game.
Glenn Maxwell who has been in surreal form for RCB in the last few seasons failed to bring the best out of himself in the ongoing season. In the last game against DC, he departed for a first-ball duck and the team needs to drop him for the next game and bring in Michael Bracewell.
The New Zealand international has already shown his capability to smack big sixes. Moreover, the Wankhede wicket is surely going to benefit the batters to a large extent. Bracewell might just do the trick if he is given the chance.
