When we talk about the cool and poised virtuosos of cricket, Muttiah Muralitharan is definitely one of them who knows how to be calm under immense pressure. On very rare occasions, you have seen legends like Murali lose their cool. However, when you have seen it happen in IPL, you know that the tournament has achieved its much-needed heights.

With 22 needed off the final over for the Gujarat Titans, the partnership of Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia smacked four sixes off Marco Jansen to steer the ship home for the Titans. It is always advised for the bowler to avoid fuller deliveries towards the end of the innings as the batters are going to take the aerial route.

This is what happened between Muttiah Muralitharan and Marco Jansen

In one such instance, Jansen ended up bowling full to Rashid Khan and the latter smoked over the cover region for a maximum. Breaking the sacred code of not bowling the fuller deliveries in the final overs went up in smoke as the Sunrisers dugout watched in utter disbelief.

In another rare instance, Muralitharan got up from his bench and was visibly frustrated at Marco Jansen for doing something that is downright off the charts and ending up paying the price.

When it comes to the shorter version of the game, there are a few things that as a bowler you have to follow. There is no second way to that and that is exactly what Marco Jansen missed out on the last over. However, players like Muralitharan and Rahul Dravid are deemed as synonyms of calmness in cricket.

When players like these who have ruled the sport with an iron fist lose their calm, you know that something is definitely wrong. Twitter rose up in unison quoting that the IPL has kissed its desired peak when the most unexpected incidents plague the fate of the tournament.
