Virat Kohli wins ICC Player of the Month award
Premier Indian batter Virat Kohli has won the ICC Player of the Month award for October. The batter bagged the award for his terrific performance with the bat, which surpassed South Africa’s David Miller and Zimbabwe’s Sikander Raza, who was also nominated.
The former Indian skipper since Asia Cup 2022 has looked in staggering form and has been scorning runs consistently for his side. In October, Kohli smashed 205 runs to go with two half-centuries.
Virat Kohli said "I want to pay tribute to other nominees who performed so well during October and also to my teammates, who continue to support me to perform to the best of my ability".

His two half-centuries in October included his match-winning unbeaten 82-run knock again Pakistan. Kohli was at his classical best as he single-handedly won the match for his side. The right-hander then continued his fine form and smashed unbeaten 62 runs against the Netherlands.
Not only, he displayed a staggering performance in October but he continued his red-hot form in November as well. He smashed an unbeaten half-century against Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup 2022 and is currently the leading run scorer in the event. He’s expected to play a big role for India in the semi-final.
