Arjun Tendulkar etched his name into the record books after he scored his maiden century on his Ranji Trophy debut and in the process, he also went on to emulate his father Sachin Tendulkar to essay a century on his Ranji debut.

Arjun Tendulkar plies his trade as a left-handed batsman and a left-arm medium-fast bowler. Arjun Tendulkar had played for the Mumbai cricket team and its junior teams earlier.

Currently, he plays for the Goa cricket team in the domestic circuit. The Maharastra-born youngster scored his maiden first-class century for Goa while playing against the Rajasthan cricket team.

For the record, Sachin Tendulkar scored his maiden century on his Ranji Trophy debut against Gujarat when he was only 15 years old. Quite interestingly, 34 years later, Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar scripted history.

The youngster ended up emulating India’s batting icon during the game against Rajasthan at the Goa Cricket Association Academy and Arjun Tendulkar received countless praises from the cricket fraternity.

Goa’s lower-order batsman came out to bat at No.7 after the dismissal of SD Lad and it was when the team’s scoreboard read 196/4 in 78.1 overs. Arjun Tendulkar scored 4 runs off 15 balls before the first day came to a close.

However, on Day 2, the youngster flexed his muscles by playing the game with a lot of intent as he went on to score his maiden first-class century. Moreover, Arjun Tendulkar and Prabhudessai stitched together a 200-plus partnership for the fifth wicket.

Earlier in 2022, Arjun Tendulkar shifted his base to Goa after not being able to get a lot of chances with Mumbai cricket. It remains to be seen how Arjun Tendulkar will go about his business and if he maintains consistency levels, he might as well go on to represent Team India in the future.
