It was a good win for RCB against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday. RR is a strong team and getting a crucial victory against them was a good sign for RCB. Incidentally, RCB also won their game in the green jersey last year and with the recent win, they have won two straight games in this jersey for the very first time. RCB did not start well with the bat as they lost the wickets of Virat Kohli and Shahbaz Ahamad quickly. However, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell ensured that RR did not run away with the game. In fact, the duo put RCB in a good position with a few more overs to the finish. However, the middle-order did not step up and RCB had to settle for a score of 189.

With the ball, Mohammed Siraj yet again gave a solid start with the wicket of Jos Buttler. After that, though, the young duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal made things hard for RCB. While they batted well, they just could not get the scoring rate high to match the required rate. By the time Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer came to the crease, things were looking difficult for RR. Dhruv Jurel offered them hope but the lack of a partner did not help him. Harshal Patel bowled well in the end to close the game for his side.
