He said: “I have no idea what India’s opening combination will be. However, I believe that the team management is aware, somewhere in the back of their minds, that Rohit Sharma suffers from injuries on a regular basis. In the recent past, he had a positive COVID-19 test, and he has had more than his fair share of ailments.”

“I don’t know the specific cause, but he has been coming and going. In a circumstance like this, you will need two or three more players who are psychologically prepared to take on the job. Because of this, you could see the roster being shuffled about or other players getting more playing time. KL Rahul and Rohit will open the batting if they are fit. India has to make preparations for the possibility that they won’t be accessible, just in case,” Butt added.
