Rajasthan Royals defeated Delhi Capitals by 15 runs to go top of the points table on Friday. While it was an exciting game, in the last over of the match, there was an unexpected event that occurred. This incident led to a delay in the game and has also become a controversy. In this article, we take a look at how Twitter reacted to the last-over drama in the game between Rajasthan and Delhi in IPL 2022.

Last-over drama in the game between Rajasthan and Delhi

Prasidh Krishna bowled a good 19th over to bring the equation to 36 runs of the last over for the Delhi Capitals. While many had lost hopes on Delhi, Rovman Powell fuelled it when he scored three consecutive sixes. However, the third ball of the over was a full toss and it was very close to being a waist-high no-ball. The umpires, though, surprisingly did not refer the delivery and went on to continue the game.

The Delhi Capitals camp was visibly unhappy with the decision. Rishabh Pant took the matters into his own hands and started calling back his players. The umpires reacted to it and there were a few ugly minutes on the field. Pravin Amre event went inside the field and had a word with the umpires. Eventually, the delivery was not given a no-ball and the game continued. DC could not sustain the momentum and they lost the encounter.

It was a slightly unusual event that occurred on Friday. Usually, Rishabh Pant is calm but the decision by the umpires did trigger him.
