Virat Kohli gets nominated for the ICC Player of the Month award
Premier Indian batter Virat Kohli has been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month award in October. The batter finds himself on the list along with South Africa’s David Miller and Zimbabwe’s Sikander Raza.
It’s fair to say that Virat Kohli has been the front-runner to win the award because of his heroics of late. He has been in staggering form as in October he as smashed 205 runs to go with two half-centuries.
His two centuries include his match-winning unbeaten 82-run knock again Pakistan. Kohli was at his classical best as he single-handedly won the match for his side. The right-hander then continued his fine form and smashed unbeaten 62 runs against the Netherlands.
On the other hand, David Miller and Sikander Raza have been nominated based on their staggering performances. While the South African was nominated for his brilliant performance in the bilateral series against India and then his match-winning knock against the same opponent in the T20 World Cup 2022.
Raza also has been sensational as he scored 145 runs and took nine wickets at a formidable average of 14.66 from his six T20Is. He also won three Player of the Match awards for his contribution in the wins against Ireland (82 not out) and Pakistan (3/25).
