He’s come a long way since his debut in cricket, and he’s matured like a fine wine in both looks and skills. Many cricket fans look up to him, and India’s unanimous trend to keep thick beards, which has grown massively since around 2017, has been hugely influenced by Virat Kohli’s beard. His Indian middle-order counterpart on the Indian white-ball side, Suryakumar Yadav, has also agreed to this fact in a recent interview that he gave to ESPNcricinfo. “Virat Kohli has the best facial hair in the world of cricket,”  Sky said, referring to Kohli’s beard. Suryakumar Yadav has always spoken well of Virat Kohli, and he is himself one of Kohli’s biggest fans. However, many fans have now started saying that he is overdoing things nowadays just to impress Virat Kohli.

Virat Kohli is not only a cricketer but also India’s biggest icon. He is the third-highest-followed athlete in the world and the most-followed personality in India. With 224 million followers, Virat Kohli’s staggering popularity speaks for itself. It is thus essential for him to maintain his fitness and appearance because billions of young fans look up to him as an inspiration.

Since scoring a 71st century against Afghanistan in the 2022 Asia Cup, Virat Kohli has regained his long-lost form. He was the highest run-scorer in the 2022 T20 World Cup, and alongside Suryakumar Yadav, he literally carried the Indian team on his shoulders. We expect him to continue playing in the same form in the upcoming 2023 ODI World Cup as well. The 2023 ODI World Cup will be played in India and it is arguably their best shot at the title in a long while.
