Virat Kohli is not just a great cricketer, but he is one of the jolliest characters on the field as well and whenever he is on the field, there is no dull moment for anyone. The former Indian captain doesn’t just entertain the crowd with several gestures, he also entertains his own teammates by imitating them.

On the first day of the second test match between India and Sri Lanka at M Chinnaswamy stadium, India’s premier fast bowler and vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah was breathing fire with the pink ball and it was proving to be incredibly tough for the Sri Lankan batsmen to go through his spell unscathed.

Virat Kohli was also enjoying Bumrah’s spell a lot from the slip cordon, as the ball was beating the batsmen quite often and was flying through to the keeper, which was a sight to behold.

During the drinks break of the third session, when the Indian players were having a chat, Kohli imitated Bumrah’s bowling action in front of everyone and his teammates couldn’t stop laughing.

Virat Kohli was trying to see the lighter side of Jasprit Bumrah’s unconventional bowling action

Bumrah doesn’t have the action of a conventional fast bowler. The kind of pace he generates, one would expect him to have a long run-up to gather the momentum, but that isn’t the case with Bumrah. He bowls with a short run up and the momentum that he gathers comes from the last few strides of his run-up when he is about to hit the crease.

It’s a unique action which looks very different from a conventional fast bowler’s action and since it looks a bit funny, Virat Kohli was trying to see the lighter side of it. Jasprit Bumrah himself was there when Kohli imitated his action and even he was laughing at how perfectly Kohli imitated his run up and his delivery stride.
