The second T20I between India and West Indies is happening at the moment at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. West Indies won the toss and chose to field. Although India did get to a decent start, the run rate came down in the middle-overs. However, thanks to the performance by Rishabh Pant and Venkatesh Iyer, Team India was able to stabilize. The Indian wicket-keeper also played a superb shot in his innings. In this article, we take a look at the stunning helicopter shot scored by Rishabh Pant in the game against West Indies.
Rishabh Pant scores a stunning helicopter shot
It was the start of the 18th over and Pant had already spent some time at the crease. Hence, he was timing the ball well and that is when he pulled off MS Dhoni‘s famous helicopter shot. Pant also has a trademark shot, which happens to be the big hits he gets with one hand off the handle. This time, he combined both these shots and gave a breathtaking offering to the viewers. The ball was at an attainable length, and Pant hit Holder’s delivery to widish long-on. Here is a look at the clip of the shot: Watch Here
Team India does well after a brief hiccup
Meanwhile, Team India has finished the first innings with 186 runs on the board. Although the first over went India’s way, Ishan Kishan fell soon and hence, India came under pressure. The likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma did get a few boundaries, but the spinners kept the run flow in check.
After Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli got out, India came back under pressure. However, Pant and Iyer bailed India out with scores of 52 (28) and 33 (18) respectively. Hence, India could get a decent total on the board. The focus now shifts to the bowlers to defend the total.
