Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi reacted to Amit Mishra’s ‘This too shall pass. Stay strong,’ comment on Babar Azam. He took a dig at the former leg spinner, saying that they should ignore his comments.
Babar Azam’s poor form continues in T20 World Cup 2022
Like the Pakistan cricket team, skipper Babar Azam is struggling to get going in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. The opening batter has managed just 8 runs in the three encounters that he has played.
In the game against India, Babar bagged a golden duck and then just managed only 4 runs against Zimbabwe. After his two failures, many expected him to set the stage on fire against the Netherlands. But this wasn’t the case as he yet again registered a low score.

Babar Azam struggled a bit. He was slowly trying to chip in but to his fortune, he bagged yet another failure as he was sent packing for just 4 runs in 5 balls as fell short to complete the run. It was during the second over when Van Meekeren bowled a fuller and straight delivery.
Babar tried to hit the ball straight to mid-on and hurried for the single and to his fortune, Van der Merwe hit the stumps as he found himself short of the crease.
His poor form has been one of the main reasons behind Pakistan’s poor tournament. The Men in green have faced two losses in their three encounters and their chances to qualify for the semi-finals are almost shattered. They are dependent on the other results to go their way.
Shahid Afridi reacts to Amit Mishra’s comment on Babar Azam
As Babar Azam bagged yet another failure in the game against the Netherlands, he received a lot of skewering for his poor form. Former Indian cricketer Amit Mishra too took a dig at him and said: “This too shall pass. Stay strong.” Notably, Babar said the same thing to Virat Kohli when he was struggling to score runs.
This too shall pass. Stay strong @babarazam258. 🙏🏽

Reacting to Mishra’s comment, Shahid Afridi took a jibe at him while speaking during a live show. When the anchor stated that Babar showed a big heart in support of Kohli a player named Amit Mishra is making fun of it.
Afridi responded: “Ye jo aap naam le rahe hain Amit Mishra, ye bhi India se khela hua hai. Ye spinner tha ki batsman tha? (This name you’re taking, Amit Mishra, he has also played for India. Was he a spinner or a batsman?)”
After being told he was a spinner, Afridi said, “Koi baat nahi. Chalein aage. This too shall pass. (Don’t worry. Let’s move on).”
