Cricket is the most-watched sport in India and it is much more than a sport because the fans treat the bat-ball game like a religion. On the other hand, cricket is the second-most-watched sport across the globe after football.
Back in those days, cricket had only two formats and that is the conventional Test format and the One-Day International format. Today, we have an ODI format in the form of 50 overs each side.
However, back in those days, it was a sixty-over format as teams had to play 60 overs to complete their designated quota of overs. As the years went on, the ICC decided to trim the format by 10 overs.
As a result, the fans witnessed the One-Day International format in the form of 50 overs. In 2005, the first T20I was played between Australia and New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland.
The fans took a liking to this format since it was compelling, engaging and entertaining. On the other hand, the shortest format is the one that gives the fans jump scares, goose bumps and adrenaline rush.
Only 3 bowlers received player of the tournament awards in 40 editions of T20 tournaments
Since then, the cricket fraternity started to witness several T20 leagues across the world. The first edition of the T20 World Cup was launched in the year 2007 where India won the trophy by beating Pakistan in the final.
After that, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) invented the cash-rich IPL and till now, it has completed 15 seasons since its inception in 2008. We also saw other international teams launching their own T20 leagues.
Apart from IPL, PSL, BBL, CPL, LPL and BPL started to draw massive attention. However, one must know that only three bowlers received the player of the tournament awards in 40 editions of T20 tournaments.
Yes, in 40 editions of IPL (15), BBL (11), PSL (7), T20 WC (7), only three bowlers won the player of the tournament awards. They are none other than Sunil Narine, Jofra Archer and Harshal Patel (all three in the Indian Premier League).

Seeing Harshal in that list is super weird NGL. I believe it should be an AR and for that reason Shadab is my pick for this T20 WC POTT. https://t.co/qnqzbBniHQ
