Something is definitely amiss with two of the most formidable franchises in the history of the IPL. Most importantly, something is way off the charts for two of the most formidable players of the aforementioned franchises. Apparently, MS Dhoni missed a stumping while Ravindra Jadeja dropped two catches. The fans are already asking the big questions, not sure whether these are the same players we are accustomed to?

The clash between Chennai and Mumbai was off to a frenetic blinder with Mukesh Choudhary claiming the two openers for Mumbai for ducks, leaving the world in absolute shock. The following over was handed over to Mitchell Santner and in the very second ball, he managed to drift the delivery wide apart as Dhoni fumbled to complete the stumping that could have got the big fish of Suryakumar Yadav.

This is what Ravindra Jadeja did with the catches

If Dhoni’s stumping miss wasn’t mad enough, Jadeja grassed an effort of Dewald Brevis in the same over to hand over the edge to Mumbai. In fact, it was a sitter that went straight up in the sky and it needed some hellish running from the CSK skipper but by the time he managed to reach, the ball has already been spilled.

If the first drop was the prelude to madness, Jadeja ensured that there was chaos all-around as he grassed another sitter with Shokken skying his effort and it was right down through Jadeja’s gullet. Leaving everyone watching the moment absolutely flabbergasted.

The world simply couldn’t believe what they were seeing. He is one of the most electric fielders on the field and his efforts are indeed the best in the world. We have seen him pluck insane rippers from mid-air and make run-outs happen that usually is not a thing for the ordinary.

Twitter was stunned to see India’s best fielder in such a sorry state and flooded the micro-blogging site with sadness, desperation and frustration about Jadeja’s woeful display.
