England not only won the Test series but also threw a spanner in the works of Pakistan’s WTC qualification hopes. Currently, both teams are playing the dead rubber at National Stadium in Karachi.

Batting first, Pakistan posted 304 runs in the first innings before England responded with 354 in the first innings. The hosts could have taken the game away from the visitors in the second innings.

However, they lacked the killer instinct to add more runs on the board as they could muster 216 runs. The hosts set up an easy target of 167 runs for the England national cricket team.

The visitors who were praised for their ultra-aggressive approach with the bat scored runs at the rate of knots in the run-chase as they completed 50 runs from just 5.4 overs in the chase and are en route to inflicting a 3-0 whitewash on Pakistan in the Test series.
