Statue of Sachin Tendulkar set to be unveiled inside Wankhede Stadium
According to a source from The Indian Express, a life-size statue of Sachin Tendulkar is set to be unveiled on his 50th birthday inside the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Sachin Tendulkar has done so much for the Indian cricket team with his significant contribution. As a result, the Mumbai Cricket Association wants to do something really special by gifting him with a life-size statue.
It is truly a magnificent moment for Sachin Tendulkar and he couldn’t be any happier upon coming to know that a statue of himself is set to be erected inside the Wankhede Stadium.
Apart from his contribution as a batsman, he has chipped in with useful contributions with the ball as he has taken 154 wickets to his name in One-Day Internationals including 4 four-wicket-hauls and 2 five-wicket-hauls.
He registered his personal-best bowling figures of 5/32 at an impressive economy rate of 5.10. On the other hand, he has taken 46 wickets in the longest format of the game.
Besides that, he has been exceptional as a fielder as he has taken superb catches in international cricket. Sachin Tendulkar has taken 115 catches in Tests, 140 catches in ODIs and 1 catch in T20Is.
