Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has been one of the important players in the Indian Premier League. The all-rounder has plied his trade for Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Chennai Super Kings in his cricketing career.

The all-rounder made a case for himself as the utility player, delivering the goods with the bat and ball. Overall, he has played as many as 145 games in the cash-rich Indian Premier League.

He has scored 3874 runs at a pretty decent batting average of 31 and an imperious strike rate of 137.9. Watson smashed as many as four centuries and 21 half-centuries in his IPL career.

Watson registered his best score of an unbeaten 117* against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2018 final. He was also pretty decent with the ball, taking 92 wickets to his name, at an economy of 7.93.

Meanwhile, while speaking to The Cricket Monthly, the former Australian cricketer opened up on one of the worst games he has ever had, especially from the bowling point of view.

During the IPL 2016 season, Shane Watson plied his trade for Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Bengaluru franchise made it all the way to the competition’s finals but lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the high-voltage encounter.

He further added that the 2016 IPL final was probably one of the worst games that he had, especially from the bowling point of view because he leaked too many runs in his full quota of 4 overs.

The all-rounder was pretty much expensive in the game as he leaked as many as 61 runs in his quota of 4 overs. Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a humongous total of 208/7 in their quota of 20 overs.

In response, the RCB franchise came too close to the target but went on to lose the game by eight runs.
