Share the post

It will be interesting to see the playing 11 for Team India for the Adelaide Test. Many expected India to fail at Perth. However, they won the game. Now, the team has the likes of Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma coming back. On that note, here, we predict India’s playing 11 for the Adelaide Test against Australia.

Openers: KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal

India is likely to continue with the same opening combination that did well at Perth. The recent game against Prime Minister’s XI was proof that there will not be major changes here. India will expect them to do well again.

Middle-Order: Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma (C)

Shubman Gill is likely to come back at No.3. Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant will continue to play in their original roles. However, interestingly, Rohit Sharma could bat in the middle order as the top-order is full. It might actually help him regain form.

All-Rounders: Washington Sundar and Nitish Reddy

Both these all-rounders stepped up for the side in Perth. Both had handy contributions with the bat while Washi was also useful with the ball. Hence, India might use them again.

Bowlers: Harshit Rana, Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah

India is likely to stick with the same trio for the Adelaide Test, as well. The trio did well in picking 20 wickets and all three bowlers are looking in good form.
