India’s young cricketer Shubman Gill showcased his sheer class and composure in the third and final T20I against the New Zealand cricket team, which is currently being held at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Earlier, Team India lost the T20I opener by 21 runs in Ranchi and had to win the second game to stay alive in the series. Much to the expectations of the fans, India somehow got the better of New Zealand in the second T20I.

The Men in Blue won the game by six wickets in Lucknow and levelled the series. Now, the complete attention is on the series decider as India are looking to win the game and the series.

Talking about the game, Team India’s T20I skipper, Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bat first in the high-voltage encounter. Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan continued his dismal form with the bat as he departed after scoring just one run.

Shubman Gill scores a hundred in the third T20I against New Zealand

Nonetheless, Shubman Gill went about his business by ticking the flow of runs bit by bit. In the process, he went on to score a marvellous century which is his maiden hundred in his T20I career.

The youngster struggled to score runs in the first two games but he quickly sorted out his woes before it was too late. The likes of Rahul Tripathi and Shubman Gill added an 80-run stand for the second wicket before Tripathi departed for a well-made 44 off 22 balls (4 fours, 3 sixes).

At the time of writing this article, Shubman Gill scored 108 runs off 56 balls including ten fours and six six at a strike rate of 192.86. Team India is on 211 runs for the loss the three wickets in 18 overs..
