“Of Them All I Think Only He Is The One”- Virender Sehwag Names 1 Benched Bowler MI Should Pick For Next Match

Five-time champions Mumbai Indians have got off to a disappointing start in IPL 2022. The former champs have played three games and lost all of them. They started their campaign with a defeat against Delhi Capitals and then suffered defeats at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. Virender Sehwag has now suggested 1 change to MI.

Over the last two years, Mumbai Indians had one of the strongest bowling attacks in the competition. Their pace-bowling department comprised the likes of Nathan Coulter-Nile, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah and James Pattinson. Their spin department had players like Jayant Yadav, Krunal Pandya and Rahul Chahar.

This year’s bowling attack of the MI team looks quite thin with Jasprit Bumrah, Rahul Chahar and Tymal Mills being the only wicket-taking options. Big Bash League star Daniel Sams has let the fans down with his poor show in IPL 2022.

Virender Sehwag feels that MI should try another left-arm pacer. He took Jaydev Unadkat’s name and told Cricbuzz:

“Of them all, I think only Unadkat is the one, who has experience and did well one season for Pune (Rising Pune Supergiants). He was sold for some 15-16 crore but even then, his next season wasn’t that great. So he is the only one who looks potent enough to partner Bumrah.”

Virender Sehwag says MI don’t have a bowler who can bowl 3 overs in the powerplay

During the same show, Virender Sehwag mentioned that the current MI bowling department does not have any bowler who can come and bowl three overs in the powerplay. He opined that they cannot use three out of Bumrah’s four overs in the powerplay.

The former Indian cricket team captain concluded by saying that since the bowling attack of Mumbai Indians is weak this time, their batters need to step up and deliver the goods for the team.
