England and South African players did a heartfelt gesture ahead of the play’s proceedings on the Day 3 of the third Test at the Oval. The Ben Stokes-led and the Proteas paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away at the age of 96 on Friday (9th September).

In what was a heartfelt tribute, English, and South African players along with fans were seen wearing black armbands and observed a minute of silence d to mourn the passing away of the Queen.

The third Test of the series saw the first day getting suspended by rain and the second day of the match was suspended as a mark of respect for the Queen.

ECB posted the video on their official Twitter account with the caption: “A beautiful few moments as cricket pays its respects to Her Majesty The Queen.”

After the first two days of the Test match were suspended, England, who opted to bowl, showcased the sensational spell of fast bowling as they made South African batters clueless.

England bundled out South Africa for 118 runs as no batter crossed the 30-run mark. Ollie Robinson rattled the Proteas’ batting lineup and took a five-wicket haul. He was well supported by Stuart Broad who also took four-wicket haul to put their side in the top position.
