Twitter Left Heartbroken Over De Villiers Not Returning To International Cricket
After a detailed discussion with the apex cricket board of South Africa, it was established that AB De Villiers will not be plucked out of his retirement despite talks of Mr 360 instigating hopes of an international return.
He left the entire world stunned when he announced his farewell from international cricket three years back. It came out of nowhere while his services for Royal Challengers Bangalore continued on a rambunctious note.
As three years seemed to be an enduring time span, the audience slowly started embracing the fact that the prolific hitter from the Rainbow Nation won’t be donning on the international jersey again.
However, after a rollicking showdown in the current edition of IPL, there were wild speculations about him returning to international cricket. Breaking all hearts, it was confirmed on Tuesday that ABD is not coming back again.
While announcing squads for the upcoming white ball series in West Indies and Ireland, CSA quoted, “Discussions with AB de Villiers have concluded with the batsman deciding once and for all that, his retirement will remain final.”
The speculations started growing with time as De Villiers sparked a storm ever so menacing that CSA believed in the big man’s last song.
Before the IPL was postponed due to a spike in Covid cases inside the bubble, ABD garnered enough momentum to hammer 207 runs at a swashbuckling rate of 164.
Twitter was left heartbroken after ABD’s news of not coming back was made public.

"Ab De Villiers is a Genius. RCB was sending him at No.5. if you are sending him at No.5, how will the team and he do well? But Ab De Villiers said it does not matter to him whether you play him at No.5 or in Mars, he will be absolutely fine." – Aakash Chopra
