The former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has landed himself in big trouble as he has been sent a recovery notice by PTV sports management after he resigned from PTV live on air during one of the post-match shows.

As the incident turned out, there was a mild altercation between Shoaib Akhtar and the PTV director Dr. Nauman Niaz on air, which resulted in Nauman asking Shoaib to leave the show. It was quite shocking for everyone in the studio as well as for the audience of the show because the anchors don’t really talk to the guests, particularly superstar guests like that.

But now with the notice sent by PTV to Shoaib, it seems as if Nauman was miffed with the regular unprofessional behaviour of Shoaib for past some time, and it came out in the form of an outburst on the live show. Shoaib later apologized to Nauman on the show itself, and it seemed like a patch-up between the two for the time being, but later Shoaib suddenly resigned and left the show abruptly.

PTV has claimed to have suffered massive damage because of Shoaib’s abrupt resignation

In the notice sent to Shoaib, PTV has mentioned that Shoaib was contracted with PTV for the full duration of the T20 World Cup and for the two parties to terminate the contract by mutual understanding, a notice period of 3 months had to be served, but Shoaib went against the terms of the contract which caused heavy damage to PTV.

PTV has also mentioned that Shoaib, without letting the PTV management know, appeared on an Indian news channel in Dubai with the former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh and it also caused damage to PTV as he was there in Dubai to work with PTV.

PTV has demanded a recovery of 100 million rupees from Shoaib which is a huge sum of money. Shoaib reacted to the notice on social media saying that he is gutted about it, but he is up for the legal battle and his lawyer will respond.
