The Sunrisers Hyderabad wicketkeeper-batsman Nicholas Pooran has uploaded an Instagram post with a picture of himself and MS Dhoni and has recalled the game that SRH played against CSK at the MCA stadium, Pune a couple of days ago.

MS Dhoni took charge as CSK captain again and CSK beat SRH by 13 runs, but Nicholas Pooran was actually blown away by the atmosphere that was there in the stadium and the kind of love that Dhoni received from the fans. It was a neutral venue and not the home ground of CSK, but still there was a sea of yellow in the stands.

For anyone watching the game on TV or on the ground, it almost seemed like the game was at Chepauk because there was so much support for Chennai despite it being a neutral venue.

Nicholas Pooran wrote in his post that the love for Dhoni in India is unreal and what he experienced in Pune is one of the memories he would never forget in his career.

Nicholas Pooran has been far more consistent this season than the previous IPL season

SRH might have lost the game, but Nicholas Pooran scored a half-century for the men in orange, although it came at the cost of three dropped catches by the opposition.

However, it’s not just the game against CSK where Pooran has scored for SRH this season, he has been far more consistent in general this season than he was in the previous season for his old team Punjab Kings.

In the IPL mega auction a couple of months back, CSK was itself one of the teams which had placed bids for Pooran. They wanted to buy Pooran as they needed a left-handed batsman in the middle order, but it was SRH that eventually managed to outbid CSK and secure the services of Pooran.

The West Indies southpaw has surely not disappointed SRH with his performances so far.
