IND vs SA: To keep their hopes alive in the current series being played at home, India secured a victory against South Africa in the third Twenty20 International with a score of 48 runs. India staged a remarkable comeback with a dominant win, and the team is now the favorite to win the next two matches as well. South Africa’s victory in the first two matches came as a surprise to many people. Former Pakistani captain Inzamam-ul-Haq believes that the host team, India, would not go down without a fight and that the away team is the one that is now under the most amount of pressure.

The Indian team did not make any alterations to their roster and was put in the position of having to bat in Visakhapatnam. However, India’s openers, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan, both hit an explosive fifty, which contributed to the team’s excellent beginning. The absence of partnerships caused India to struggle throughout the middle overs of their innings. Nevertheless, all-rounder, Hardik Pandya produced 31 runs off of only 21 balls to put the visitors in a position to reach their goal of 180. Both of the Proteas’ openers were dismissed while the team was still in its powerplay, which contributed to the team’s early struggles. The Indian bowlers were successful throughout the middle overs, collecting wickets at a steady rate and eventually bowling out the South African team for 131 runs in 19.1 overs.

IND vs SA: Inzamam-ul-Haq has praised the Indian bowlers for their efforts in preventing South Africa from winning the series

Because of their inconsistent performance in the previous two matches, the Indian bowlers earned a lot of criticism, but in the third and final match, all of the bowlers, except for Avesh Khan, were able to contribute with wickets and maintain a decent economy rate. The Indian spin pair of Yuzvendra Chahal and Axar Patel was particularly impressive since they took many important wickets in the middle overs of the match. Inzamam gave praise to the Indian spinners for their bowling, saying that it was the bowling that prevented the tourists from winning the series. The tourists seemed to be the favorites to win the third match and clinch the deal on the series.

“Both Patel and Chahal deserve credit for how they bowled. The series is starting to become more intriguing. Earlier, it seemed as if the Proteas would go and claim the series, but India’s bowlers resisted that,” Inzamam remarked in his most recent video uploaded on YouTube.

Despite the absence of major players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Jasprit Bumrah in this series, the Pakistani veteran hailed the depth of the current Indian lineup.

“The pressure is now on South Africa because this Indian team will not lose so easily in their own stadium. Appreciation needs to be directed at the younger members of the squad since they are putting up a fight. Even though Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul weren’t playing for them, they were still able to pull off an impressive victory,” he went on to say.
