While the T20 World Cup 2022 has given fans enthralling entertainment, rain has also played a spoilsport and has given utter disappointment to both fans and teams. Almost every game has faced rain threats and it’s fair to say that weather is not in favour of the tournament.
If it was the clash between South Africa and Zimbabwe from Group B that got washed out due to rain, Group A also saw the match between New Zealand and Afghanistan getting washed out due to rain.
The game between New Zealand and Afghanistan was extremely crucial for both teams in the context of qualification for the semi-final. But rain washing out the game hampers the chances of both.
Although both teams got one point each but the competition in Group A has become extremely tough and all the teams will now have to be at their best to fancy their chances of qualifying. Earlier, England vs Ireland game also saw rain playing a part but thankfully teams got the desired result.

Why both games scheduled to play at the same venue? This is ridiculous. Why can't they play the other match at Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, or in Hobart.
