Indian team started off the T20 World Cup 2022 campaign with an incredible win against Pakistan at the MCG. Then, they backed it up with a win against the Netherlands at the SCG. However, they lost their game against South Africa in Perth in the very last over.

Now, the Men In Blue will face off against the Bangladeshi Tigers at the Adelaide Oval. Bangladesh has played three matches so far and they have also managed to win two matches against Netherlands and Zimbabwe. They suffered a defeat against South Africa. So, they are also in the reckoning for a place in the semi-finals if they managed to defeat India in Adelaide.

Ahead of the match against India, Bangladeshi captain, Shakib-Al-Hasan made a shocking revelation. He said that they were not here to win the World Cup and they are not the favourites. India is the favourite and is here to win the T20 World Cup. He also added that if they managed to defeat India then that will indeed be an upset.

Shakib said: “India is the favourites, they are here to win the World Cup but we are not, if we beat them then it’s an upset”.

Shakib also recalled the win against England in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 at the Adelaide Oval. This ensured that Bangladesh qualified for the knockouts of the World Cup. Shakib said that his team should draw inspiration from the memories of the game and give their all against India.

Now, it remains to be seen what the result of the game will be. However, this game can virtually turn the Group B points table. India needs to be wary of the fact, as one loss can virtually end their dreams of making it to the semi-final which was looking very clear after their back-to-back wins in the first two games.
