The eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) kickstarted on Monday (13th February). The tournament so far has seen staggering encounters and nail-bitters. With the way the event started, it’s fair to say that so far it has been the best edition of the league.
While there has been an even competition between bat and ball, it has also seen some hilarious incidents as well. Ahead of the first game, during the fag end of the opening ceremony, flood lights in the stadium caught fire due to the fireworks and the game was delayed by 30 minutes.
If this was not enough, pacer Naseem Shah was also a part of the hilarious incident. In the game between Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans, the young fast bowler has seen batting while wearing the helmet of his Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) team.
Naseem came out to bat after his team’s suffered a batting collapse. However, instead of wearing Quetta’s helmet, he walked out to bat with BPL’s team helmet. The pacer has been fined 10% of his match fees for his action.
