The Lucknow Super Giants grabbed all the headlines in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League when they signed all-rounders Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda. Every member of the cricket universe may know that things are not right between the two all-rounders because of the spat they had during a domestic tournament.

Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda had a fight during their team as Baroda cricketers. Soon after, Hooda received a suspension from the Baroda Cricket Association and then he moved to the Rajasthan domestic cricket team.

At the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, the Lucknow Super Giants team roped in both all-rounders in what will probably be their first time as teammates since that controversial incident. The mentor of the Lucknow Super Giants team Gautam Gambhir opened up on their attitude recently and told PTI:

“Look, you don’t have to be best friends off the field to perform on it. They are professionals and they know that they have a job to do.”

Gautam Gambhir further gave his own example and stated that he did not have a great friendship with all of his teammates. However, that does not mean that the players do not give their best on the field.

“I have not been friends with everyone in every team that I have played in. But that hasn’t stopped me from giving my best when I am out there on the field,” Gambhir added.

The former Indian batter concluded by saying that both Pandya and Hooda are matured enough to forget their personal differences and win matches for the Lucknow Super Giants in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. LSG will open their campaign against the Gujarat Titans this Monday in IPL 2022. It will be exciting to see how the new teams perform.
