Pakistan thought that hosting this tournament would immensely boost the development of cricket and take the sport to the next level. However, things are not changing anytime soon as India have expressed that they are not willing to come to Pakistan, citing security concerns.

Earlier, there were reports that Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have backed the BCCI’s decision to shift the Asia Cup tournament out of Pakistan.
