The 26-year-old had a staggering domestic season back home as he scored runs prolifically and on the back of those performances, he made it into the West Indies squad for the Australia tour.

Tagenarine opened the innings for West Indies in the warmup game against Prime Ministers XI and he didn’t disappoint. The southpaw brilliantly crafted his innings and played staggering innings.

Tagenarine batted for 293 balls and scored 119 runs. His innings was of high quality as played some staggering strokes all around the ground with 13 fours and 1 six. If this was not enough, he again played a masterful inning and scored an unbeaten half-century in the second innings.

With the kind of prolific year he had and the knocks he played in two innings of the ongoing warmup games, it’s fair to say that he could well be in line to make his debut for West Indies in the Test series against Australia.
