The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is currently underway in the state of Maharashtra. The fourth match of the competition is happening now, where the new franchises Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are battling each other. Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda are playing for the LSG team.

Many members of the cricket universe would know that Hooda and Krunal had a fight when they played together for the Baroda domestic cricket team. In fact, because of the spat, Hooda received a suspension from the Baroda Cricket Association and had to change his domestic team.

It seemed like the two all-rounders may not play together again, but at the IPL Mega Auction 2022, the Lucknow Super Giants signed both Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda. The team’s mentor Gautam Gambhir had the following to say about them in an interview with PTI:

“Look, you don’t have to be best friends off the field to perform on it. They are professionals and they know that they have a job to do. I have not been friends with everyone in every team that I have played in.”

Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda have played like professionals so far for the Lucknow Super Giants team

In the first match of the Lucknow Super Giants team, Deepak Hooda scored a half-century for the team. Krunal Pandya was spotted clapping for him in the dugout, and when Hooda got out, Pandya came out to bat. Before reaching the pitch, he patted Hooda on his back who was returning to the dugout.

These gestures have shown how the IPL can help the players forget their differences. In the past, fans saw Andrew Symonds and Harbhajan Singh play for the same franchise, and now Jos Buttler and Ravichandran Ashwin will play together for Rajasthan Royals. Here’s how fans on Twitter reacted to Krunal and Hooda:
