IND vs AUS 2022: India and Australia and all set to lock horns with each other in the three-match T20I series, starting Thursday (20th September). The second game will be played on Friday (23rd September) in Nagpur followed by the third match set to be played in Hyderabad on Sunday (September 25th).

IND vs AUS 2022: Virat Kohli bowls in nets ahead of 1st T20I against Australia 

With just a few hours remaining for the first T20I against Australia, star Indian batter Virat Kohli was seen rolling his arms in the nets. The 33-year-old bowled medium-pace deliveries with his teammates having a close eye on him.

Kohli’s bowling could well be the hint that India might use him as a sixth or seventh bowling option in some games in upcoming T20Is against Australia, South Africa, and T20 World Cup 2022. He also bowled one over in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2022 and conceded only 6 runs.

Kohli will be heading into the series against Australia on the back of a staggering campaign in the Asia Cup 2022. He returned to form during the tournament and was the second-highest run-scorer with 276 runs to his name at an average of 92. He also scored his 71st century in the tournament.

Recently Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) shared pictures of Kohli bowling in the nets on their official Twitter account with the cheeky caption: “Look who’s opening bowling tomorrow #IndvsAus @imVkohli.”

IND vs AUS 2022: Probable Playing XI for India for the first T20I against Australia 

The T20I series against Australia will act as a massive preparation for India ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022. They would be looking to give game time to their players and help them check their forms. Skipper Rohit Sharma along with KL Rahul is likely to open for the side with Virat Kohli at No.4

Suryakumar Yadav is expected to bat at No.4 with Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel set to do the finishing duties for the side. The likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, and Jasprit Bumrah are likely to be the three pacers in the side with Yuzvendra Chahal being the lone spinner.
