IND vs AUS 2022: Virat Kohli bowls in nets ahead of 1st T20I against Australia
With just a few hours remaining for the first T20I against Australia, star Indian batter Virat Kohli was seen rolling his arms in the nets. The 33-year-old bowled medium-pace deliveries with his teammates having a close eye on him.
Kohli’s bowling could well be the hint that India might use him as a sixth or seventh bowling option in some games in upcoming T20Is against Australia, South Africa, and T20 World Cup 2022. He also bowled one over in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2022 and conceded only 6 runs.
Kohli will be heading into the series against Australia on the back of a staggering campaign in the Asia Cup 2022. He returned to form during the tournament and was the second-highest run-scorer with 276 runs to his name at an average of 92. He also scored his 71st century in the tournament.
Recently Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) shared pictures of Kohli bowling in the nets on their official Twitter account with the cheeky caption: “Look who’s opening bowling tomorrow #IndvsAus @imVkohli.”
