Yashasvi Jaiswal

One of the players that will be on the radar for the BCCI is Yashasvi Jaiswal. He surely will be a backup for the Indian team for the World Cup. Yashasvi Jaiswal took the IPL 2023 by storm. The Southpaw was one of the best batters in this year of the IPL as he smashed runs for fun and was one of the main reasons behind the success of the Rajasthan Royals. He was quite aggressive batting at the top of the order as he has come out all guns blazing in all the games and gave his team a fiery start in all the games and eventually won the games for them. He smashed two centuries and also smashed the fastest half-century in the league as he achieved the feat in just 13 balls against KKR. He ended the season with 625 runs to his name.

Ruturaj Gaikwad

It’s unlikely that he will be part of the Indian team for the World Cup considering the presence of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan in the team. Ruturaj Gaikwad has been part of the Indian setup for a while now and also has been performing well in the domestic circuit. He was brilliant with the bat in the IPL where he scored around 500 runs. He also is likely to be on the standby list for the World Cup.
