The names of Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson were the major talking point on social media portals in the last couple of days. A certain section of the fans started to compare Suryakumar Yadav with Sanju Samson.

The discussion on social media was initiated after Suryakumar Yadav’s flop show in the three-match ODI series against the Australian cricket team at home. He became the first Indian to register three golden ducks in a row.

Suryakumar Yadav played across the line in the first two ODIs and was dismissed leg before wicket off Mitchell Starc’s delivery in Mumbai and Visakhapatnam respectively. The right-handed batter was clean-bowled by Ashton Agar in the third ODI in Chennai.

On the other hand, Sanju Samson performed very well in ODIs in the limited chances he got. Having played 11 ODIs, Sanju Samson scored 330 runs at an average of 66 including 2 half-centuries. Some supporters felt that it was totally unfair that Samson hasn’t been getting the much-needed backing from the team management.

Kapil Dev echoed that people will talk about this subject and give their views but it is completely down to the team management’s call. Team India needs to rethink their batting order, especially the No.4 spot and it remains to be seen how the Indian team management will fix the leak before the World Cup.
