Australian batter Steve Smith said that there haven’t been too many times that he has walked off the field and has told himself what the hell he is doing. But he was was pretty angry after his 2nd innings dismissal in Delhi.
Steve Smith is yet to fire in the Test series against India
The ongoing Test series between India and Australia so far hasn’t been a great one for the premier batter, Steve Smith. He has failed to get going and is unable to solve the mystery of the Indian spinners.
He looked decent in the first Test as he scored 37 and 25* but failed to convert his starts into big innings in both innings. The Delhi Test was horrendous for him as he scored a duck in the first innings and then managed just 9 runs in the second innings.
Smith will now captain Australia in the third Test against India in the absence of Pat Cummins, who rushed back after the second Test due to a serious family illness. It’ll be a great opportunity for Smith to lift his side and prove his prowess as a captain once again.

Australia has suffered two massive losses in the first two games and the onus will on Smith to lead the comeback for his side. The right-hander notably has a staggering record as a skipper as he has an average of 67.73 with 3,793 runs as a captain in Test cricket.
“I was pretty angry after my 2nd innings dismissal in Delhi,” says Steve Smith ahead of the third Test against India
With the third game just a few hours away from now, Steve Smith has revealed that he was angry with his dismissal in the second innings against India in Delhi. The batter was dismissed by R Ashwin in both innings in the second game.
Speaking to reporters, Steve Smith said: “I’ve played 95 Tests, I don’t think there have been too many times I’ve walked off the field and I’ve told ‘what the hell am I doing?’. I was pretty angry after my 2nd innings dismissal in Delhi”.
