Talented cricketer Prithvi Shaw has been one of the star performers in domestic cricket. Plying his trade for the Mumbai cricket team, the right-handed batsman carved out a niche for himself by playing a fearless brand of cricket.

The youngster already fell out of the selectors’ radar. His last Test appearance came against Australia on December 17, 2020. His last ODI appearance came against Sri Lanka on July 23, 2021, and his last T20I appearance came against the same opposition on July 25, 2021.

Since then, was out of the Indian cricket team for close to two years now. Recently, he earned a call-up to the Indian cricket team for the home three-match T20I series against the New Zealand national cricket team. As it turned out, the right-handed explosive batsman didn’t get a chance to feature in any of the games.

It seems that all is not really going well for Prithvi Shaw at the moment. Every now and then, he broke the silence by positing cryptic and emotional stories on the micro-blogging portals.

Meanwhile, once again, Prithvi Shaw made the headlines after he posted another cryptic story on Instagram. His Instagram story reads, “Some people will only “love you” as they can use you. Their loyalty ends where the benefits stop”.

Shaw’s story went viral in no time on social media. Meanwhile, fans are hoping that Shaw gets out of this dark phase and plays for the Indian cricket team in the near future.

Prithvi Shaw has scored 339 runs in 5 Tests at an average of 42.4 including 1 century and 2 fifties. On the other hand, he scored 189 runs in 5 ODIs at an average of 31.5 and is yet to score a fifty or a hundred in the 50-over format. The 23-year-old Thane-born cricketer played just a solitary game in Twenty20 Internationals and is yet to get off the mark in this format.
