Teams that qualified directly for the 2024 T20 World Cup
It’s fair to that the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 has arguably been the best edition as it has not only seen the staggering competition between the top-ranked teams. This time around there was fair competition among all the teams as few low-ranked have pulled off an upset and dented their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals.
With the semi-finals yet to be played, 12 teams have already qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024. West Indies and the USA being the hosts have got the advantage and have found themselves on the top of the list. Whereas Afghanistan and Bangladesh despite poor performance in the T20 World Cup 2022 have qualified for the next event because of their T20I rankings.
The remaining eight teams that have qualified for the 2024 T20 World Cup are the top performers from the ongoing T20 World Cup. They are India, Pakistan, South Africa, Netherlands, New Zealand, England, Australia and Sri Lanka.

Here is the reason why Zimbabwe did not qualify and the Netherlands qualified for the 2024 T20 World Cup
As the 12 teams have made it into the 2024 T20 World Cup, many are wondering why Zimbabwe hasn’t qualified despite being good performers in the ongoing tournament. They defeated Pakistan and gave tough competition to every team.
But the reason behind not qualifying for the 2024 T20 World Cup is that they needed to beat Bangladesh and Netherlands to qualify but they lost both games and ended at the bottom of the points table of Group B. Therefore, they need to play qualifiers to get into World Cup 2024.
